Cabo Verde Competence Center in partnership with CERMI carries out mission to São Tomé e Príncipe
CDC 3C and CERMI, represented by Mr. Edson Mendes and Gilson Correia, respectively Director General of CDC 3C and Chairman of the Board of Directors of CERMI, carried out a prospecting mission to São Tomé e Príncipe (STP) from July 18 to 22, 2022.
The mission was carried out with the macro-objective of establishing strategic partnerships and positioning itself with national entities and companies as a facilitator and trusted consultant for the Energy Transition of São Tomé e Príncipe.
The two Centers have collaborated in vocational training and training projects for young people and senior staff of STP, intending at this stage to expand collaboration to other areas of the country’s energy transition, namely in support of the definition of political and sectoral strategies, development of the legal and regulatory framework, implementation of infrastructure projects and strengthening the training of human resources in the fields of energy efficiency, renewable energy and industrial maintenance.
” Satisfied with the results of the projects implemented so far with São Tomé e Príncipe, and counting on the full support and engagement of the Embassy of Cape Verde in São Tomé e Príncipe and the recognition and trust deposited by the entities of São Tomé e Príncipe, namely the Minister of Labor, Solidarity, Family and Professional Training; Minister for Foreign Affairs, Minister for Tourism and Culture; United Nations Resident Representative, Director General of Natural Resources and Energy, public and private companies, we believe that the conditions for strengthening collaboration with this country are met,” said cdc 3C Director General.
